In 1999 The Angela Louise underwent an
extensive remodeling at South Coast Shipyard in
Newport Beach California. She was converted
into a Hybrid Vessel.
Two 4000 watt Trance / Xantrex power inverters
were installed for the purpose of converting 48
VDC to 110 VAC to power all electrical systems
and appliances. The entire boat runs on
batteries!
The electric propulsion system consists of a
single heavy duty 96 volt electric motor which
can turn the propeller blades in excess of 5000
rpm. Once electric propulsion is engaged, the

environmentally correct, traveling at speeds of
four to eight knots producing "Zero Emissions".
