THE ELECTRIC RIVERBOAT ANGELA LOUISE
In 1999 The Angela Louise underwent an
extensive remodeling at South Coast Shipyard in
Costa Mesa California. She was converted into a
Hybrid Vessel.

Two 4000 watt Trance / Xantrex power inverters
were installed for the purpose of converting 48
VDC to 110 VAC to power all electrical systems
and appliances. The entire boat runs on
batteries!

The electric propulsion system consists of a
single heavy duty 96 volt electric motor which
can turn the propeller blades in excess of 5000
rpm. Once propulsion is engaged, the Riverboat
Angela Louise becomes environmentally correct,
traveling at speeds of four to eight knots
producing "Zero Emissions".
The Electric Riverboat Angela Louise
is the largest battery electric, U.S.
Coast Guard Certified, Classic
Riverboat in the World. Fully charged,
she can remain underway for up to
twelve hours carrying 103 passengers.

She was built in 1969 in Costa Mesa,
California, and currently measures 60'
from bow  to stern with an 18' 6" beam.
No Noise, No Diesel Fumes, No Distractions
